Ex Boxer Arnold VanderLeyde
Fight for your success
Boxers are fighters: fighters for success. Arnold Petrus Maria Vanderlyde, born on 24 January 1963, has been fighting for his principles from a young age. He is convinced of the fact that success can be achieved by everyone and he proved this as a three times bronze medal winner at the Olympic Games in 1984, 1988, and 1992. Arnold also became European Champion three times and Dutch Champion eight times. Thanks to these achievements he was named Sportsman of the Year in 1991. In preparation for the Games, Arnold spent much time training at Papendal. After his last Olympic Games in 1992 he decided to swap his top sporting career to focus on the business world.
Arnold Vanderlyde stayed connected to his passion, however, and established a link between top sporting and business life. The combined experiences he has acquired during his sporting career and his studies at the College of Sports Management now provide him with the expertise to conduct workshops and training sessions. In 2001, he was appointed as Olympic Commissioner for Boxing by the executive of the Dutch Boxing Federation.
Arnold Vanderlyde as a sports speaker
Arnold runs a body and mind workshop for employees who need a new lease of life. He will apply his own Fighting for Success model to your own organisation. An important component of this is “action learning”. Fighting for Success in this sense is an integration of theory, practice, sports and relaxation. His workshop aims to convince people of their physical and mental strength. All of your employees’ senses are sharpened to make them aware of their physical and mental capabilities in order use these to discover the challenge of success.
