As soon as you arrive, you immediately experience the space, calm and energy that make Papendal so unique. In the middle of the forest, yet surprisingly close to the city, you’ll find your way to the sporting heart of the Netherlands.
Papendal is centrally located and easily accessible by car. From the A50 or A12, you’ll reach Papendal in no time. Once you enter the site, follow the signs to your destination. Please take into account possible roadworks and allow for extra travel time when coming to Papendal.
There is plenty of parking available. The sports centre has around 300 parking spaces, and the hotel offers another 500 public parking spaces, including disabled parking spots.
Driving an electric car? No problem! We have a dedicated electric charging area.
There are plenty of options for travelling to Papendal by public transport. You can now even check in and out with your bank card at any station in the Netherlands. There’s no need to use an OV-card or buy a separate ticket.
From Arnhem Central Station, you can easily take bus line 10 with Sportcentrum Papendal as its final destination. This bus runs directly to Papendal from Monday to Friday. Get off at the stop “Sportcentrum Papendal” on our premises.
You can also travel on bus line 105. In that case, get off at the stop “Van der Valk / Papendal”. This bus line also runs at weekends. Cross the junction and you’ll reach Papendal within a few minutes.
Prefer not to depend on the bus? Then take a taxi. From the station, you’ll be at Papendal in just ten minutes. You can book a taxi through the reception of our hotel. The taxi runs between 07:00 and 24:00 from and to the Sonsbeek side of Arnhem Central Station. We recommend booking at least one hour in advance and clearly mentioning that it is “for Papendal”. The fare is €25 per person per ride.

Carpool to your event at Papendal
